Imagineer Productions

Imagineer Productions is an independent creative production company based in Coventry, which produces large-scale outdoor events, carnival and site specific theatre.

Imagineer work across a range of artforms and in a variety of formal and informal settings producing:

  • large scale celebratory outdoor events and performances

  • visual arts and design based events

  • educational and participatory workshops and projects

  • professional theatre productions (large and small scale)

  • corporate entertainment

  • cultural festivals and showcases

  • street theatre

The team behind the name bring with them a wealth of experience working in the creative arts industry. Projects undertaken in Coventry have included the revival of the Coventry Mystery Plays, the founding of Coventry Arts Alive and the national tour of Roald Dahl’s ‘The Twits’, all whilst with the Belgrade Theatre. The team also revived and reimagined the Coventry Carnival (now entitled Godiva Carnival Procession). More recent commissions include the Opening Ceremony to the International Children’s Games 2005, the official opening of the City’s Ricoh Arena with the ‘Made in Coventry’ event in 2007, Celebrating Coventry, a cultural showcase to mark the city hosting the UK School’s Games in 2007 and a programme of events for the National Holocaust Memorial Day for 2009.
